about

Vertebral Oscillations is an exploration into deep technical modular synthesis such as Complex Oscillator frequency modulation relationships and Spectral Transfer techniques, while maintaining a melodic and musical experience that provokes varied emotions. Each track in the series is named for a vertebra in the human spinal column. The album art is a series of modular synthesizer power cables arranged in the form of a human spine representative of synthesizer modules drawing their power from the mind of the artist.
This album is the first of a four-part series of improvised performances composed almost exclusively on modular synthesizer. The instrumentation and composition is meticulously constructed and arranged so it can be performed and recorded live in one take.
Recorded in January and February, 2022, at Studio Utopia in Toronto, Canada.
Keep an eye out on social media or follow me on Bandcamp for the next release in the series, "lumbar (L1-L5)", Coming Soon!
